COVID-19 Virtual Webinar: Variants and Monoclonal Antibody Treatment

COVID-19 Virtual Webinar: Variants and Monoclonal Antibody Treatment

Thursday, July 8, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

COVID-19 Virtual Webinar:  Thursday, July 8, 12 - 1 p.m.

As the virus that causes COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the U.S., Arkansas remains especially vulnerable to new variants of concern due to our low vaccination rates. While the authorized COVID-19 vaccines work very well to keep people out of the hospital, they are of no benefit if people are not vaccinated.

Fortunately, medical providers have an additional resource in their efforts to help their patients—the use of monoclonal antibodies, which can be administered in an outpatient setting. Health care providers likely to encounter patients with COVID-19 are encouraged to learn the latest recommendations for use of mAb therapies and join the efforts around the state to keep people out of the hospital.

Speakers:

Dr. Atul Kothari, MD, Associate Medical Director of the Infectious Disease Branch at the Arkansas Department of Health

Sammie Cribbs, MSN, AGCNS-BC, APRN - Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, HarrisonArkansas
